Brent&gt;<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Brent began his legal career in the Cook County State\u2019s Attorney\u2019s Criminal Division, where he served as lead prosecutor in approximately 500 bench trials and numerous jury trials over a five-year period. His success at trial led him to the highest levels in the Illinois justice system, including arguing two cases before the Illinois Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<p>Brent left the Cook County prosecutor\u2019s office to become a named partner at the Chicago-based firm of Fumagali, Tecson, Hyman &amp; Brent, Ltd. He focused his trial practice on personal injury and class action cases before relocating to California in 2000. Brent joined a leading boutique trial firm in San Francisco, and in 2006 left and started his own practice. In 2009, he and David Fiol established this firm.<\/p>\n<p>Joseph P.
